Had an insightful meeting with Dr. Zachary P. Stewart, Vice President (Research & Chief Scientist of the International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC), at the Lok Seva Bhawan chamber. Discussions focused on the establishment of a Fertilizer Innovation Centre in India, to be set up in Odisha, a transformative step that will strengthen research, enhance soil health, and empower our farmers with sustainable solutions.
Odisha is proud to lead this initiative, aligning agricultural progress with innovation and global best practices. Odisha is a hub for major fertilizer manufacturing and agricultural research initiatives aimed at innovation, soil health, and sustainable farming. IFFCO operates a large fertilizer production plant in Paradeep, which is a significant part of India’s fertilizer manufacturing capacity. Smart scheme Technologies (a subsidiary of Deepak Fertilisers) is also establishing a large manufacturing complex in Gopalpur.
