Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a national-level ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Sammelan’ at Vigyan Bhawan, with the government set to emphasise its commitment to enhancing women’s participation in nation-building and governance. The event is being organised as part of a broader push to reinforce the importance of women-led development within the vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047.” It will underline the increasing presence of women in leadership roles across various levels from grassroots institutions.
The event comes just ahead of a special session of Parliament beginning April 16, where discussions on operationalising the provisions of the Act are expected to be a key focus. The Sammelan is also expected to showcase how women are increasingly driving change across sectors, reinforcing the government’s view of women-led development as central to achieving the goal of a developed India by 2047.
