The Ministry of Electronics & IT, Government of India, is actively advocating for the network- centric approach of the India Digital Ecosystem Architecture (InDEA) 2.0. This framework, designed to facilitate large IT architectures for both governmental and private entities, enables the seamless delivery of integrated services transcending organizational boundaries. It is a comprehensive framework designed to support the digital transformation of various sectors, with a particular focus on agriculture. The framework empowers the government and private enterprises to design and implement large-scale IT architectures that enhance efficiency and service delivery.
Under the InDEA 2.0 framework, cutting-edge Al- based technologies have been adopted to benefit farmers across the nation. Two notable initiatives include:
- Kisan e-Mitra: Al-Powered Chatbot for PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme. A chatbot powered by Al that addresses farmers’ inquiries regarding the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. It is Accessible in Hindi, Tamil, Odia, Bangla, and English, making it inclusive and accessible to a diverse range of farmers.
- National Pest Surveillance System: Enhancing Crop Health with Al and ML. Developed in collaboration with the private sector, this system utilizes Al and Machine Learning (ML) models to detect crop issues. Offers timely information to farmers for swift action, aiming to enhance crop health, potentially increasing yields and improving farmers’ livelihoods.
