Horticulture Output estimated at record 353 empty in 2022-23. India’s horticulture production is estimated to have increased 1.4% to a record high of 351.92 million tonnes in 2022-23 crop year (july-june) from 347.18 empty in 2021-22 ,on higher productivity. While the production of foods , vegetables, spices and plantation crops has increased,that of onion and tomato have declined. The ministry said quitting agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar that along with food grains, horticulture is also continuosly reporting record production in the country. The ministry said siting it’s second advance estimate for horticulture production that output of this segment is expected to have hid a record 351.92 million tonnes in the year 2022-23.
