Empowering Farmers : Around 5000 FPOs have joined ONDC Portal

FPOs are now playing an significant role in building an Agri community chain. Many farmers are easily sell their produce through the FPOs . Not only in India but also in our state FPOs are become an milestone in agricultural activities. Around 5,000 out of 8,000 registered FPOs have been onboarded on the ONDC portal for selling the produce online to consumers across the country. which have been registered with a target of 10,000 under a central scheme launched in 2020 with a budgetary provision of Rs 6,865 crore.

Also the ministry said the formation and promotion of FPOs is the first step for converting “Krishi into Atmanirbhar (self-reliant) Krishi.”
