Odisha Farmers to Receive CM-Kisan Assistance on April 20

Odisha will celebrate the sacred festival of Akshaya Tritiya with the traditional Akhi Muthi Anukula ritual, symbolizing the start of the agricultural season. The state government has announced that the day will be observed as State-Level Farmers’ Day, highlighting the importance of agriculture in Odisha’s economy. The government has emphasized that Akshaya Tritiya is not only a cultural and religious occasion but also a symbolic day for farmers, marking the beginning of the sowing season.
According to official sources, a total of 41,68,582 farmers across Odisha will receive Kharif assistance under the scheme. This initiative is aimed at providing timely financial support to cultivators ahead of the agricultural season, ensuring they have resources to invest in seeds, fertilizers, and other inputs.
