‘Stakeholder Consultation Workshop on OIIPCRA’ was held at Krushi Bhavan . During the workshop, discussions were held to review the progress of projects undertaken in a convergence mode by various Directorates under DA&FE and Fisheries & ARD Department, in collaboration with Water Resources Department Government of Odisha.Principal Secretary, FARD, emphasized the importance of convergence. Citing flexibility in OIIPCRA for introducing innovations to farmers, he encouraged all Directorates to adopt a convergence approach. He hoped the workshop would provide valuable learning and exposure for all.

Principal Secretary, DA&FE, stated that profitability or income from a farm is the primary criterion for a farmer to adopt a climate-resilient crop portfolio. Initiatives like OIIPCRA ensure this agricultural transformation through evidence-based and science-led interventions. Project Director, OIIPCRA announced plans to increase the Cultivable Command Areas (CCA) to six-fold in Rabi 2023-24 and ten-fold in 2024-25 to achieve a 200% intensity. All Directorates are coordinating various activities to meet this challenge.
