“Nothing is softer or more flexible than water, yet nothing can resist it”. The word and substance water plays a vital and crucial role in every living form existing on earth. Without water life on earth is non existence. Water day is celebrated as an annual UN observation that puts light on the importance of water. This day is highlighted for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. Hence 22 march is observed as water day all over the world.
Significance of this day: The main moto and objective of celebrating water day is to formulate awareness among all and make them understand the importance of water. According to a UN report, 2.2 billion people are dwelling without access to safe water. We can visualize how badly they are being nurtured in this world without water. To overcome this major problem we need to conserve water so that some percent of water can be saved.
Role of youth: As young and forthcoming generations are considered the solution for every problem so today’s youth must act upon it and try to minimize the wastage of water. We have noticed freshwaters sent into the sewage system due to overuse and unconsciousness towards preservation of water. I would like to tell people, please conserve water as much as possible. The government should look after this problem and try to minimize the wastage of water.
