The Spices Mission is designed to expand spice cultivation, diversify crop portfolios, and uplift farmers’ economic prospects in Odisha. It aims to revolutionize the state’s agricultural landscape through establishing primary processing units & targeting global markets and Implement strategies to expand cultivation of spices to increase overall area devoted to spices farming in the state.
The Spices Mission in Odisha also aims to Promote spice cultivation among farmers encouraging them to diversify their crops and increase their income, establish primary processing facilities managed by FPOs & SHGs to enhance the value of spice produce and integrate spices into national and international markets to boost the profile of the state’s spice industry.
