National Fish Farmers Day is celebrated every year on 10 July, by the Department of Fisheries, Animal husbandry and Dairying in Association with (NFDB). The main objective of celebrating this day is to change the way the country manages fisheries resources to ensure a healthily sustainable ecosystem.
Another motto of this day is to honour the fish farmers, fisher folks, and various stakeholders as well as to praise them for what they have done for us and the farming sector. This day is commemorated in memory of great scientists Dr. Alikunhi and Dr.H.L Chaudhury who had invented induced breeding technology of Indian major carps on 10 July 1957.
From that day we have been applauding this day for the happiness of our farmers. From the team of SHYAMLA SUBARNA wish you all National Fish Farmers Day.
