International Symposium on Shree Anna & Woman Farmer-2025

Hon Union Minister, Sh Shivraj Singh Chouhan urged agriculture scientists to develop bio-fortified millet varieties to make them more profitable for farmers. This year, a special session will focus on women farmers, highlighting their equal role in agriculture alongside men as the true guardians of our traditional food crops. During the International Symposium on Shree Anna & Woman Farmer 2025, he lauded the Odisha model of millets promotion.

This global gathering brought together visionary minds, agriculturists, scientists, women agri-preneurs, NGOs, FPOs, and international institutions like FAO, MSSRF, IFPRI, and SEWA, united by a shared commitment to sustainable agriculture and food security. A dedicated session on women farmers illuminated a powerful truth: their contribution is not supplementary, it is foundational. Equal in labour, unmatched in care—they are the true guardians of our traditional food crops and the soul of our agrarian legacy.
