The first World Odia Language Conference was organised dated as 3rd – 5th of February. In this three-day conference the context, Odia Language, Literature and Culture Minister Ashwini Kumar Patra has informed the media about the decision of the State Heritage Cabinet. Linguists of national and international repute have been invited to address the thematic sessions of the First World Odia Language Conference.
And Shri Pradeep Kumar Jena, also visited the Agriculture stall at World Odia Language Conference 2024, depicting the history, heritage and culture of Rice and Millet landscapes of Odisha and appreciated DA&FE for its creative display and informative dimensions of the stall. He also said, “Millets are one of the most valuable and nutritive ingredient among all agricultural crops. The production of different types of millets holds a major advantage in sustaining the agricultural food demand in the country. This review highlights the importance of millets in terms of production, the growing phenomenon of millets and the production data in India”.
