On the occasion of National Handloom day the handloom textiles and handicraft department, Saturday celebrated this day at Boyan Bhawan. Textile and Handicraft minister Padmini Dian inaugurated the occasion in presence of commissioner cum- secretary Subha Sharma and boyanika managing director Jyoti Prakash Das. The three primary weavers community got a cash prize of 1 lakh each as well as sagarpali weavers in Subarnapur got a cash prize of 3 lakhs and other district like Barapali and Bargarh got a cash prize of 2 and 3 lakhs.
