The Director of Horticulture, alongside Indo-Dutch Agricultural Cooperation delegates, visited Ganjam and Bhubaneswar to evaluate Odisha’s floriculture potential, aiming to establish a Centre of Excellence. The visit focused on boosting local flower production, marketing, and value addition, including engagements with farmers, nurseries, and RMC officials to implement advanced Dutch technology.
This visit includes to establish a Centre of Excellence for Floriculture to improve production, post-harvest management, and international market integration. The team held discussions with stakeholders in Ganjam and Bhubaneswar to identify potential for cultivating crops like Rose, Gladioli, Tuberose, and Marigold. A follow-up review meeting was conducted at Krushi Bhavan, Bhubaneswar, involving senior officials to advance the Indo-Dutch collaborative efforts.
