The awards for the year 2025 under Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari will be conferred by the Hon’ble President of India, along with the 6th National Water Awards 2025, at a ceremony scheduled for 18th November 2025 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Under this initiative, States are divided into five zones, and the districts are encouraged to construct a minimum of 10,000 artificial recharge and storage structures. This number is 3,000 for the districts in North-Eastern and Hilly States, while it is 10,000 for Municipal Corporations nationwide.
A total of 100 awards have been announced this year. These include three top-performing states, 67 Districts, six municipal corporations, one urban local body (ULB), two partner ministries/Departments, two industries, three NGOs, two philanthropists, and 14 nodal officers (list attached). Award winners were selected based on verified data uploaded on the JSJB portal. The Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari (JSJB) initiative has led to the emergence of diverse, scalable, and replicable models for artificial groundwater recharge through community participation and convergence of resources.
