The Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture or MIDH is a scheme for the holistic growth and development of the Indian horticulture sector. Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme for the holistic growth of the horticulture sector covering fruits, vegetables, root & tuber crops, mushrooms, spices, flowers, aromatic plants, coconut, cashew, cocoa and bamboo.
Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) has been launched 2014 onwards for implementation during the 12th Plan with the objective of holistic development of horticulture in the country. The objectives of Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture are Augment horticulture production, Enhance farmers’ incomes, Boost nutritional security, Improve productivity by way of quality germ-plasm, planting material and water use efficiency through micro-irrigation.
