Scientist of ICAR-NRRI at cuttack has successfully demonstrated the advance solar-based Alternative Energy Light Trap, a cost-effective device that traps flying insects in crop fields utilizing solar power. It reduces the indiscriminate use of chemical insecticides on crops. A good and worthy initiative has been taken by the department.
