The government is re-introducing the “Yeshasvini” health insurance scheme for farmers. The scheme, which is slightly changed from the earlier one, aims to provide access to quality medical facilities to the farming community with a financial allocation of Rs. 300 crore.Surgical procedures of more than 800 types specified by the Yeshasvini Trust are covered under the scheme at rates pre-negotiated with the partner hospitals.
Medical emergencies such as dog bite, snake bite, bull gore injuries, electric shocks, accidents during agricultural practices are covered under it.
Normal delivery, angioplasty procedures & neonatal care are covered under the scheme.
