As the state government has ensured to support financial strength to various women communities through various schemes like SHAKTI, many women in Ganjam district have scripted success in flower farming and set up an example for others. Apart from this, they are busy in mushroom cultivation, pisciculture, etc. However, flower cultivation has earned them accolades from various quarters and the government as well.
According to reporters women who were involve in various SHGs groups are mainly cultivating marigolds in that region. The union rural development has also sanctioned rupees 9.5 lakhs to 32 women for flower cultivation.
