The UP government plans to make payments to sugarcane farmers totaling Rs 8,000 crore over the next 100 days. On Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath convened a review meeting of the agriculture department, during which he directed officials to ensure that sugarcane dues are paid to farmers promptly. During the meeting, the chief minister emphasized the importance of clearing Rs 8,000 crore in dues to sugarcane farmers in the next 100 days and Rs 12,000 crore in the next six months.
