The threat to India’s rice production comes at a time when countries are grappling with soaring food costs and rampant inflation.
Total rice planted area has declined 30% so far this sea-son due to a lake of rain fall in some areas , including waste bangle and uttarpradesh,which account for a quater of India’s output. Rice is one of the chief grains of India moreover,this country has largest area under rice cultivation. India is one of the leading producer’s of this crop.Rice is the basic food crop and being a tropical plant ,if flourishes comfortable in a hot and humid climate.Rice is the staple food of eastern and south part of India.
