As June July August recorded rainfall much less than usual, the possibility of drought is getting real in 10 blocks of Mayurbhanj. The district administration is planning a strategy to overcome this major issue. The administrative held an emergency meeting for this issue under the chairmanship of collector Vineet Bharadwaj. The collector directed the agricultural official and irrigation official to lift the irrigation department so that they can take necessary and immediate action for various facilities. The meeting revealed that out of 26 blocks 10 are suffering from drought and gradually turning grim day by day.
