Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced three Artificial Intelligence Centres of Excellence (CoEs) focused on healthcare, agriculture and sustainable cities. He said,”The three AI-CoEs would emerge as temples of global public good, and also emerge as solution providers of the world”.
The three AI CoEs are aimed at realising the vision of “Viksit Bharat,” and will be led by top educational institutions, with industry partners and startups. They can transform healthcare in India with the help of digital technology and specifically AI. AI has a huge potential in delivering healthcare to the poorest in our small towns and villages through our government hospitals. This initiative aims to strengthen India’s AI ecosystem and promote high-quality talentin the three sectors.
