Improving water irrigation infrastructure will be the most important measure towards improving farm production. Higher consumption of urea is leading to imbalance in soil nutrition. Balance application of urea and complex fertilizers shall lead to better soil quality which is good for higher productivity. At times, farmers don’t get fair prices for their products due to demand-supply mismatches.
Indian farming sector is highly dependent on unreliable labour workforce. If farmers have easy access to latest farming technologies and there is adequate training for its adoptions, it can significantly improve the farm productivity. Extensive focus has to be placed on States with low agriculture yield in the Eastern region. Focused government intervention to these areas can improve agricultural productivity.
