An Agro Service Centre is a business or organization that provides a variety of services and inputs to farmers, often on a rental or service basis, to support agricultural production. Under Mukhyamantri Krisi Udyoga Yojana, Ms. Bhabani Mahanta of Kandarkala Village, Keonjhar has set up an Agro Service Centre, serving farmers in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Khordha. She creates local employment and plans to expand farm implements as a one-stop solution for nearby farmers.
The Mukhyamantri Krisi Udyoga Yojana scheme provides capital investment subsidies for new micro and small enterprises, including ASCs, to support income generation and employment in agriculture. The scheme provides a subsidy on fixed capital investment for establishing an ASC. Encourages the adoption of agricultural machinery and equipment, improving productivity and post-harvest management.
