Avocado In Agragamee’s Zero Tillage Farm

Zero tillage farming, which minimizes soil disturbance, can be applied to avocado cultivation. While it’s not a universally adopted practice for avocados, zero tillage is gaining traction as a sustainable approach. Zero tillage minimizes soil disturbance, which helps prevent topsoil loss, especially crucial on slopes or in areas prone to erosion. Avocado trees can be planted directly into the soil with minimal disturbance. Consider using a planting method that minimizes soil disturbance around the tree.

The great news this morning is that in our Zero Tillage Farm, Vidhya shared the information that one of 6 Avocado Trees has borne fruits after 10 years. We were introduced to Avocado while in the US and in Brazil and fell in love. Vidhya got seeds and planted them in our Zero Tillage Farm. Avocado is getting popular and plentiful available in Ooty and Kodai , sold on the roadside. The health conscious people are using them more and more.
