No To Streptomycin and Tetracycline on Crops

According to a report The union ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare published a draft order in which it was stated that there will be no use of Streptomycin and Tetracycline in the process of cultivation as it causes harm to the crop. The sudden draft was raised because streptomycin is used in curing tuberculosis and Tetracycline which is used as an antibiotic treatment will cause damage. The order ensures a complete ban on the use of the two antibiotics in agriculture from January 1, 2024, onwards. It directed every state government to take all such steps necessary for executing the order in their state.
