On the occasion of Farmers Day Odisha first student Agricultural Magazine Shyamala Subarna organized a conference in which various important and valuable discussions took place. The relationship between agriculture and social life is very old. Public culture and agriculture complement each other, that farmer is the backbone of this society and civilization and the first wave of agriculture. Every year December 23 is celebrated as National Farmers’ Day. In this regards, the Agricultural Quarterly Journal of Odisha has celebrated National Farmers’ Day at the Agricultural Information Center, Kujang. The chief guests on the occasion were Village Development Officer, Kujang – Shri Soumyashree Panigrahi, Block Agriculture Officer – Mihir Sahu, Assistant Agriculture Officer – Asima Mishra, Indian Bank Manager – Rajesh Kumar Sethi, Shyam Subarnar Adviser and Soar Assistant Professor. Journalist and poet Jibanananda Adhikari was the chief guest. Mr. Panigrahi highlighted how the magazine is dedicated to the peasantry with the approach of Farmers’ Day.
On the occasion of National Farmers’ Day, the distinguished guests wished for the sacrifices and contributions of the farmers above all and the bright future of the agricultural magazine. In context to this to give a bright example to the society that yes farming is the main priority in our country, Chinmayee sathpathy of Jagatsinghpur district receives the successful agricultural entrepreneur award by the dignitaries.
There are plans to launch a series of programs for farmers in the coming days said the editor of the magazine D. Subham.
